YOLO… You only live once, but if
you do it right, once is enough. Life is like a coin, you spend it anyway you
wish. But you only spend it once. Life is like a dream for the wise, a game for
the fool, a comedy for the rich, and a tragedy for the poor. Life goes on,
whether you choose to move on and take a chance in the unknown, or locked in
the past, thinking about what could’ve seen. So open up your eyes, look within.
Are you satisfied with the life you’re living?
In order to truly understand the
meaning of life, you should first start thinking about how to live the moment.
Many people don’t give themselves enough time to think about what they’ve done
and what needs to be done. Those are the people who need to learn how to live
for themselves before living for others. Life is too short so make the best of
what you can. Believe in yourself, trust who you are, and bring happiness to
others. Because we don’t remember days, we remember moments.
Acceptance is the key of life. Accept what you are able to
do and what you are not able to do, accept the past as past without denying or
discarding it, learn to forgive yourself and to forgive others, don’t assume
that it’s too late to get involved. On the other hand, acceptance doesn’t mean
giving up, it doesn’t mean relying on others to do the work for you. For
example, you fail at a certain exam, you don’t just give up; saying that you
accepted your failure, but in fact, you should try and study harder to achieve
better results.
Learning how to live is an essential part in knowing the
meaning of life. Life is like a camera; focus on what is important, capture the
good times, develop the negatives and if things don’t work out, take another
shot. Death, on the other hand, isn’t accepted by many. Although everyone knows
they’re going to die, nobody believes in it. If we did, we would do things
differently. Acknowledging that you are going to die and being prepared for it
at any time is better. That way you can actually be more involved in your life
while you’re living because once you understand that you have to die, you learn
how to live.
Life is not measured by the breathe we take, but by the
moments that take our breathe away. Life isn’t about growing up or getting
older, life is about using that time in something useful. We might be afraid to
grow old because in some opinion, growing older means you’re getting closer to
death. Once again, the issue isn’t about
getting older, it’s about accepting who you are and reveling in that. You have
to find what’s good, true, and beautiful in your life as it is now. Going back
makes you competitive. Age is certainly not a competitive issue.
Be
yourself, don’t change for the sake of others. If you’re trying to show off for
the people at the top, forget it. They will look down at you anyhow. If you’re
trying to show off for people at the bottom, forget it. They will only envy
you. Status will get you nowhere. Only an open heart will allow you to float
equally among everyone. Do the kind of things that come from the heart. When
you do, you won’t be dissatisfied, you won’t be envious, and you won’t be
longing for someone else’s things. On the contrary, you’ll be overwhelmed by what
comes back. Always remember, life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about
creating yourself in God’s will.
